Kingsbridge Asset Management changed their name to Formation Asset Management in 2008.
In 2015 they hit the headlines when a storm of mis-selling claims came from high-profile clients, including Premiership footballers.
At the time media reported on how some of the biggest names in football lost a combined £100million from advice to investment in unregulated schemes. These included Films and Overseas Property.
Formation Asset Management are no longer authorised by the FCA, meaning they can no longer provide advice. They were declared in default by the FSCS and are currently in liquidation.
It’s not just premiership footballers who’ve been hit by mis-selling. The majority of pension mis-selling happens as a result of poor or negligent financial advice. In particular pension transfers and SIPPs.
If you are at all concerned about the advice you have received and want to check if it may have been mis-sold – we offer a free consultation.
It’s a simple chat with one of our experienced claims handlers to initially assess if we think you have a claim. There’s no obligation.
You are not required to use our services to pursue your claim. You can also seek further advice or shop around subject to any time limits within which a claim must be made.
It is possible for you to present the claim for free, either to the firm or person against whom you wish to complain or to the statutory ombudsman (Financial Ombudsman Service or Pension Ombudsman Service) or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, whichever is applicable to your claim.
We will not make or pursue a claim, or advise you to, if we know or have reasonable grounds to suspect that the claim does not have a good arguable basis, and or is fraudulent or frivolous.
