Finsbury Financial Ltd was declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) in April 2024.

The firm, which traded as Finsbury, stopped being authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in June 2017.

According to the Companies House website, Finsbury Financial Ltd was dissolved in March 2020.

The FSCS confirmed it had received four claims against the firm, which are investment advice related.

Three of these claims were rejected by the FSCS, but it upheld one of the claims which has triggered the default declaration.

Finsbury Financial Ltd is no longer trading and has been declared in default (failed) by the FSCS.

This means that eligible claims will now be processed by the FSCS, which has limits to the amount of compensation it can award. How much depends on when and how you were mis-sold. The current maximum the FSCS can award is £85k per person per firm.
