Frodsham Financial Planning Ltd

Frodsham Financial Planning Ltd was declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) in February 2024.

The firm, which previously traded as Tom Carroll Associates Financial Planning Limited, has not been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority since July 2020.

And according to its Companies House entry, it was dissolved in May 2021.

It’s been reported that the FSCS has so far received two claims against Frodsham Financial Planning Ltd in relation to home finance and pensions.

A spokesperson for the FSCS told FTAdviser that one claim has been upheld and the other is still in progress.

When a financial firm like Frodsham Financial Planning is declared in default (failed) it means eligible claims will be processed by the FSCS.

The FSCS has limits to how much compensation it can award which is currently capped at £85k per eligible person, per firm.
