Gaudi Regulated Services Ltd

Under Investigation 26/04/2023

FRN: 488015

Gaudi Regulated Services Ltd (Gaudi) was a SIPP operator authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It was placed under investigation by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) in April 2023.

According to the FSCS Gaudi Regulated Services Ltd provided or administered ‘white label’ SIPPs (Self-Invested Personal Pensions). These could be branded and modified to suit other firms, also referred to as business partners.

On 25th April 2023, Gaudi entered administration and the directors appointed Sean Bucknall and Andrew Watling of Quantuma Advisory Ltd as Joint Administrators.

It was also announced that shortly before Gaudi went into Administration it sold its book (its assets & customers) to authorised SIPP operator Platform One Ltd.

Why has Gaudi entered administration?

According to the FCA statement, Gaudi went into administration following the outcome of several complaints made by its clients to the Financial Ombudsman Service. These complaints which were upheld in favour of the clients were in regard to some of the investments Gaudi allowed within its SIPPs.

The directors “recognised the financial liabilities associated with these decisions and other potential Financial Ombudsman decisions”

Having sought insolvency advice which concluded the firm was insolvent the board decided to place the company in administration.
