Marvell Enterprises Ltd

Failed 13/10/2023

FRN: 942172

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has declared Marvell Enterprises Ltd in default.

The FSCS has been working with the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman Service to investigate Marvell’s activities since July 2022.

Marvell Enterprises Ltd was registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) from 16 January 2021 as a limited permission credit broker, with secondary broking permission.

However, the FCA issued a consumer warning and removed Marvell’s permissions in November 2021, meaning the firm could no longer carry out regulated activity.

According to the FSCS Marvell Enterprises was involved in offering high-yield bonds and ISA products and carrying out regulated investment activities for which it did not have permission.

The FSCS also said that the FCA submitted winding-up petitions and on 18 October 2022, the Court ordered that Marvell be wound up and an official receiver was appointed.
