Can I make a claim even though MLM Wealth Management Ltd is in ‘default’?

Yes, you can make a claim against a firm that the FSCS has declared in default.

A declaration of default usually means the FSCS has established there are eligible claims, under its rules, and that the firm or individual are unable or unlikely to be able to pay compensation.

It also means that claims will be assessed by the FSCS and it will pay compensation if the claim is eligible. The FSCS has a limit to the amount of compensation it can award depending on when and how you were mis-sold, which is currently £85k.
