The Chambers Partnership Ltd was declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) on 20 December 2023.

It was authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority until 8 September 2016.

According to companies house The Chambers Partnership Ltd was dissolved in March 2018.

It was reported last month that the FSCS has received four claims against the firm for various types of financial advice.

A spokesperson for the FSCS told FTAdviser that three claims have been rejected, but one claim has been upheld, thus triggering the default declaration.

If a firm is no longer trading and has been declared in default, eligible claims will be processed by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

The FSCS is limited to the amount of compensation it can award, depending on when and how you were mis-sold. The current maximum is £85k per person per firm.
