Asset Independent Financial Advisors Ltd worked with several Appointed Representatives including Assetz Wealth Limited, Cooper Swift Ltd, Creative Wealth Solutions Ltd, First State Independent, Financial Advisers Limited, and Kirk Ella Investments Ltd.

Pension Connect

Pension Connect was an introducer company whom Asset Independent Financial Advisors Ltd is believed to have had dealings with.

Pension Connect was reportedly set up by former employees of First Review Pension Services, who hit the headlines in 2017 after an undercover Panorama documentary exposed the practices at their sister company Lifestyle Connections. According to the programme, they were heavily involved in promoting The Resort Group investment using free pension reviews. This led to a campaign and subsequent ban on cold calling.

The Resort Group has been mis-sold to many SIPP investors.

FCA Restrictions

In 2018 they were told by the FCA to “immediately cease all regulated investment activities for customers introduced by unauthorised introducers and/or the Firm’s Introducer Appointed Representatives (“IAR”)” pending a section 166 review. Which means an approved skilled person must review their activities.

They were also ordered to “immediately terminate relationships with all unauthorised introducers”

Latest on Asset Independent Financial Advisors

They were declared in default by the FSCS in February 2020, and it was reported at the time 150 complaints had already been made to the lifeboat organisation. They are currently in liquidation.
