Mis-Sold SERPS

SERPS (State Earnings Related Pension Scheme) more commonly known as a state pension, was a pension scheme introduced by the UK government and which ran from 1978 to 2002 before being replaced with the Second State Pension scheme.

It was designed to increase the amount of money, above the basic state pension, paid to people when retiring.

Anyone who made Class 1 National Insurance Contributions (NICs) during this time will have a SERPS (State Earnings Related Pension Scheme) entitlement.
