Greyfriars are a firm based in Leicester. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has asked Greyfriars Asset Management LLP not to put any new money into any of its DFM Portfolios, which seem to comprise high risk, illiquid investments in such things as overseas property and bonds.
Because the FCA requested this, and Greyfriars have complied with them, it shows there were potential issues around their investments.
Greyfriars continue to trade and there are no indications that other aspects of their business are affected by this. However if you took out anything relating to their DFM portfolio you may be entitled to compensation.
